I35AEC- By January board meeting provide update regarding assessment schedule and current i-Ready data.

Guiding Question-

  • I wonder how we can ensure all parents receive communication regarding the most recent i-Ready report?


Discussion- i-Ready results support decision-making for individual instructional support. i-Ready results are shared at board meetings, but each family will be invited to a 1:1 conference to review results from recent diagnostic assessment


I36AEC- By December board meeting provide description of plan to ensure a guaranteed and viable curriculum for every scholar.

Guiding Question-

  • I wonder how we can ensure that our new extended learning schedule is effective for scholars?


Discussion- Teachers shared that extended day helps to ensure all content is taught. However, there are currently fluctuations in attendance and parents report that they are still learning and sometimes confused by the current schedule. Students are reporting difficulty with stamina as related to increased virtual time.


I37AEC- By November board meeting, consider additional support for Exceptional Education Case Managers to ensure high-quality virtual instruction for students with disabilities.

Guiding Question-

  • I wonder how we can ensure appropriate support for the exceptional education program?


Discussion- Current virtual programming is focused on IEP compliance. Most case managers have 12 students on their caseloads. Dr. Weems-Allen has been reviewing lesson plans to support high quality instruction.


Next Steps

Next AEC meeting on November 17, 2020 at 4pm.


We will review a draft dashboard for our AEC and consider current status for the phased plan for F2F instruction
