Consistent communication with scholars is critical within a virtual platform.
Review comparative i-Ready Data
- SY 2019-2020
- Beginning of the year 2020-2021
i-Ready decrease for level of performance is impacted because students are interacting with grade level information at the beginning of the year. The i-Ready diagnostic assessment is given at the beginning, middle, and end of the school year.
BOY 2020-2021- Beginning of the year i-Ready data summary K-8 indicates a 20% drop in reading and math from BOY 2019-2020. Leadership team member members indicated this was due to on-campus v virtual learning; "summer-slide" was extended
K-2 data are included in the schoolwide aggregate. The committee members suggested disaggregation of i-ready Reading and Mathematics data summaries to analyze BOY 2020-2021 data for 3-5, 6-8, and 3-8 which is more aligned with GA Milestones. In addition, i-Ready reports need to include % of scholars who participated in the assessment. 26% scholars did not participate during the 2019-2020 EOY assessment window
The Leadership Team members indicated that 100% of the educators have held individual i-Ready conferences with parents. Additional parent conferences for individual scholars will be scheduled in January.
Review Proposed 90 Day Plan
2018-2021 CHCS Academic Goal 1: Obtain a 90 CCRPI Score for all grade bands in 2020 and 2021
2018-2021 CHCS Academic Goal 2: 85% of CHCS 3-8 graders will read at or above grade level
Due to lack of time during our 1 hour session, this agenda item will be during our 1/5/21 meeting
Next Steps
Have all families received individual i-ready conferences for each scholar?
The Leadership Team members indicated that 100% of the parents have received conference notifications and information regarding BOY i-Ready results.
What academic information should be shared at the upcoming board meeting?
