Safe School Restart and Covid Protocols

JICHS will follow the CCSD Safe School Restart Plan and Covid protocols and quarantine periods for 2021-22 school year.

JICHS will follow the CCSD Safe School Restart Plan and Covid protocols and quarantine periods for 2021-22 school year.


Original Motion: Vote on either the CCSD or DHEC quarantine guidelines.

Amended Motion to vote on DHEC guideline of 7 days with a negative PCR Covid test.

@Bennet- Put on the JICHS Website the testing sites that offer PCR tests. Put the DHEC Guidelines up as well.


@Grant Hays- Clarify no Rapid tests are acceptable. 


Implement the DHEC guidelines. 


Public Comment

Board meetings shall be conducted in an orderly and efficient manner. Reasonable controls shall regulate public presentations to the board. Any individual who desires to appear before a regular meeting of the board shall sign in prior to the 5:30 p.m. open session and will be allowed a maximum of two minutes to address the board. A suitable visible timing device shall be employed and it shall audibly mark the end of the presentation period. No speaker may use a public comment to discuss personnel matters or matters otherwise private or confidential. Speakers are to discuss issues, not individuals. The chairman or designee is authorized to terminate any speaker's time who does not observe this policy.


**PLEASE NOTE: These meetings will be broadcast via Zoom webinar, and open sessions will begin at 5:30 p.m. with the public comment submission deadline occurring one-hour prior at 4:30 p.m. The board may or may choose to read or respond to public comments. JICHS Board of Directors Meeting Dates and times are below. 

All meetings start at 5:30 pm.

Go back to an open meeting if COVID situation permits in-person meeting that are to open to public . It was seconded and approved that future meetings would be open and visitors would follow COVID protocols.
