Weight Room Improvements
Approve athletic weight room improvement to new and existing weight rooms (if quotes are received in time for the meeting).

Presentation by Coach Westerman on expenses for the Weight Room at JICHS.
@Westerman- some of the main issues is the flooring which we would hope that CCSD would pay for. Weights, dumbells, racks, etc. The new and old weight rooms would match in floorings and styles because they can both be used. Safety is currently an issue, youth and female access (smaller sizes and styles).
@Greg Hays Where will the new weight room be?
@J. Holland- In the new gym
@Westerman- The dumbell rack starts at 20 lbs and female athletes. Having two mirrored elite gyms is going to
@Thorn- The new gym was going to be done in March and has been pushed back to April 2022.
@Westerman- the lead time is 6-8 months if we were to order equipment today. Every team, each athlete, a weight room is the common space for the athletic department.
@Thorn- it's disappointing that the Field House and Weight Room has not held up as it should in just five years.

Athletic Capitol Improvement
Update on installing field turf on the back practice field due.
@J. Holland- There are issues with drainage and rotating use for fields that is a major concern with multiple sports using the same fields. During construction we have also lost one field due to construction.
@Greg Hays- Have we changed our focus from stadium lighting to improving turf fields?
@J. Holland- Yes, many of the fields are virtually unuseable when it rains so it doesn't even matter if visibility is an issue.
Discuss Recalibration and Tree Removal
Recalibrating the discuss so that Soccer can continue to practice while discuss machine is working. There will be some tree work and removing and old pole vault dug up.
Recommendation to approve the discuss recalibration, removing trees, and removing concrete of old concrete pole vault slab.
